The UK finally agreed a withdrawal ‘deal’ with the EU on the 24th December 2020. Whilst this agreement avoids trade between the EU and the UK with WTO tariffs it is by no means a frictionless trade deal and businesses now have to understand, navigate and comply with many new rules and requirements relating to the flow of goods and services across the border between the UK, Northern Ireland and EU member states. AMDEA are working hard to collate and share all the change requirements and liaise with members to provide support during this challenging period of change. AMDEA members who require information and assistance should contact their regular AMDEA representative.
