Yes, it is IT-related and no, it isn’t about being hacked.
Researchers in the USA have discovered that psychedelic stickers of images of toasters appear to confuse image recognition software.
It seems that the software mis-identifies nearby objects as toasters because the sticker images look more lifelike than the actual object does. It is not fooled by nearby images of real toasters.
Which suggests that replacing human beings with robots may be a more remote possibility than some commentators would like us to believe!
