The Household Electrical and Electronic Servicing Training (HEEST) Forum

www.heestforum.co.uk

As part of our commitment to training, AMDEA supports the Household Electrical and Electronic Servicing (HEEST) Forum.
HEEST was set up in 2009 as a successor to the Electrical and Electronics Servicing Council. The new Forum wanted to create new nationally accredited servicing qualifications and set up a network to deliver them.

There are six qualifications available, covering installation and repair for both white and brown goods. These are also integrated into a formal apprenticeship standard that qualifies for Government funding.

The colleges currently delivering the qualifications are; Gower College Swansea, Birmingham Metropolitan College, Lincoln College, London Rail Academy and West Suffolk College.
