Greg Clarke, the BEIS Secretary of State responded to a letter from BSI, co-signed by AMDEA and a long list of other stakeholders, expressing BSI’s desire to remain involved in European standardisation after Brexit. The letter confirms that the UK Government envisages continuation of the current principles of legislation setting broad principles supported by standards.
Steve Baker, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union has replied to a letter from the Chair of the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee. He said that the UK wanted to explore how we could continue to be part of EU agencies such the European Medicines Agency, the European Chemicals Agency, and the European Aviation Safety Agency.
