AMDEA held another of our Member Briefing events this month.

It offered an overview of the next round of Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Regulations, outlining the key differences between the new and existing Regulations. More details are being supplied in our monthly TechNews bulletins.

We had three sets of external speakers. Defra came to speak briefly about their Resources and Waste Strategy – AMDEA is planning a dedicated event later this year to cover aspects of this. The OPSS Market Surveillance team from BEIS were still awaiting test results from their pilot but wanted to say how pleased they were with the response that they had had from AMDEA members. And representatives of Quiet Mark and the Noise Abatement Society came to talk about the importance of noise, or rather quiet.
