The European trade body CECED (of which AMDEA is a member) held discussions last autumn with the European Commission to propose how they could address the issues with the Ecodesign and Energy Label Regulations for cooking appliances.
The Commission decided to publish a guidance document clarifying the more confusing terms and explaining the errors that may eventually be subject to a corrigendum.
Following consultations between the Legal Service and the General Secretariat of the European Commission a corrigendum could be published in the Official Journal by summer 2015. However, they may decide to use a correcting Act instead of a corrigendum and this might include modification to other measures so would take longer.
AMDEA circulated the draft Guidance document and the final version should be published shortly
