The European Commission’s Regulatory Fitness and Performance programme (REFIT) was set up with the aim of making EU law simpler and reducing regulatory costs within a stable regulatory framework that can support economic growth and create jobs.
The Commission has just issued a call for expressions of interest from representatives of business, social partners and civil society organisations with experience in the application of regulation who could advise on how legislation could be improved.
The deadline for applications is 1 September 2015.
REFIT draws on the experience of Danish and British initiatives to reduce the burden of legislation on business – more details are available here.
